New Delhi, Oct 10 (IANS): A 28-year-old son killed his father after a heated argument over a petty issue here. Both were drunk, police said Thursday.

Manjeet slashed the neck of Dilip Singh, 66, a farmer, with a sharp-edged weapon around 7.45 p.m. Wednesday in west Delhi's Bawana area after a heated argument over some issue and ran away.

"Both father and son were reportedly drunk at the time of the incident that occurred on a street near the victim's house," said a police officer.

A case has been registered and police are now looking for Manjeet.
