Mangalore: Divya V Shetty awarded PhD

Mangalore, Oct 11: Lion Divya V Shetty, assistant professor in department of chemistry, St Aloysius College, here, was awarded PhD degree by Mangalore University for her thesis ‘Studies on new reagents for the spectrophotometric determinations of some drugs and their intermediates’.

She was guided by Professor B Narayana, registrar, Mangalore University.

As Lion Divya V Shetty is the first Lioness to get the PhD Award, she was felicitated by International Association of Lions Clubs, Dist D- 5 governor, Ln K C Prabhu in Bantwal.

Cabinet secretary Ln M C Shetty, cabinet treasurer Ln A C Shetty, district Lioness coordinator Asha Chandramohan, president of the Bantwal Lions Club Ln S G Acharya presided over the function.

Region chairperson Ln Vasanth Shetty, zone chairperson Ln Damodar B N, club secretary Ln Jagadish Yadapadithaya, treasurer Ln Sudhakar Acharya and large number of Lions were present on the occasion.
