Mangalore, Mar 15: There is tension everywhere! Not to worry it’s examination time!

With the SSLC examinations coming up in just a day’s time, its not only the students who are worried but also their parents and teachers.

A total of 33,087 students will appear for the SSLC examination to be held in the Dakshina Kannada district from March 16 to 23.

Among them 17,237 are boys and 15,850 are girls, who will write in 82 examination centres. The district administration has made arrangements for five centres for the candidates who have registered their names privately. Those from the district, who have registered their names privately, have to appear at the centres prescribed in the City.

Fourteen cluster centres have been formed by grouping 34 centres in them. The other 48 examination centres are clusterless centres. For every cluster centre, two, three or four centres have been linked.

Depending on the space available in each centre, candidates from two, three or four centres have been listed as per alphabetical order. As a result, all the candidates from a single school cannot appear for the examination from a single centre.

Four district-level vigilance squads have been formed under the leadership of the district-level officials and the chief executive officer of the zilla panchayat.

Taluk and divisional-level vigilance squads have also been formed in the respective taluks and divisions, under the leadership of the assistant commissioners of Puttur and Mangalore.
