Fire in Bengal factory; no casualties


Kolkata, Oct 13 (IANS): A fire broke out Sunday at a petrochemical unit in West Bengal's East Midnapore district but it was put out soon, a fire department official said. There was no casualty.

Eight fire tenders were pressed into service to control the fire, the official said.

"The fire broke out at around 12 today (Sunday) in one of the units of Dhuseri Petrochemical in Haldia in the district. There is no report of any casualty or injury to anybody," the official said.
