Temple tragedy guilty to be punished: Chauhan


Bhopal, Oct 14 (IANS): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan Monday said those guilty for the temple stampede that claimeed 111 lives Sunday will be punished at the earliest.

"Guilty would be punished at the earliest," Chauhan said Monday.

He also said that politics on the tragedy is "unwanted" and that steps will be taken to avoid any such tragedies in future.

"The focus should be on attending to the injured and take steps to avoid any such incidents in the future," he said in a comment of Twitter.

Over 110 people were killed and many injured in a stampede on a bridge, across the Sindh river, leading to a Durga temple in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh Sunday.
