Man shot at, robbed in Delhi


New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS): A motor car agency employee was shot and injured Monday by four bike-borne assailants who escaped with his bag containing Rs.10 lakh, police said.

The incident happened near the Anand Vihar Bus Terminus in east Delhi. Akeel was taken to the Hedgewar Hospital where doctors said his condition was stable.

According to a police officer, Akeel was going towards Seemapuri area on his motorcycle when the four armed men on two motorcycles chased and stopped him. They shot at Akeel twice, snatched his bag and sped away.

"The case is being investigated," Deputy Commissioner of Police Ajay Kumar told IANS.
