Bahrain, Oct 15: Bahrain Billawas, an organization formed by non resident Billawas living in Bahrain ten years ago, is preparing itself to celebrate their tenth anniversary in the island.
The celebrations are scheduled to be held at Al Raza school hall at Manama at 4 pm on Wednesday, October 16.
Billawas who were employed in Bahrain had felt the need to share their joy and suffering on a community level, which made them form Bahrain Billawas forum in the year 2003.
Bahrain Billawas have helped the needy in their community, both in Bahrain and in India for their studies and medical treatment.
Well known author Janaki Brahmava will be the chief guest of the occasion.
Jerry Vincent Dias, managing director of sponsors of the programme, Mandovi builders and developers of Udupi; Dheeraj Ameen, managing director of co sponsors Northern sky properties, Mangalore and Darpan Poojary, managing director of Sri matha enterprises, Manipal will be the special guests of the programme.
Former president of Tulu academy, Umanath Kotian and ‘Encounter Daya Nayak’ fame actor, director and producer, Sachin Suvarna will be the guests of honor.
Several leaders of Billawa associations in the gulf will be present at the programme. A souvenir titled ‘Tudar’ depicting the work done by Bahrain Billavas during the last ten years will be released at the venue.
The programme will be a social and cultural gathering for Billawas. It consists of a tulu comedy drama titled ‘Rambarooti’ and a dance drama titled ‘Tulunad Dayeg Inchaand’.
