Malaysia to host BWF World Super Series Finals

New Delhi, Oct 17 (IANS): The BWF World Super Series Finals will return to Malaysia in December after an absence of three years.

The season ending badminton tournament will be held in Kuala Lumpur from Dec 11-15. The event brings together the top eight from men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles to share a prize money of $500,000.

"We anticipate some great finals in Malaysia and we look forward to the best performers on the Super Series circuit giving their best. We are in the second half of the Super Series and there is still a lot of intrigue regarding who will qualify for the finals," Badminton World Federation (BWF) secretary general Thomas Lund said Thursday.
