Student killed in Gurgaon accident


Gurgaon, Oct 18 (IANS): A 21-year-old student of engineering died in a road accident in Sector 52 of Gurgaon in Haryana, police said Friday. The student, a resident of Saket in south Delhi, fell off a moving auto-rickshaw.

Abhinav Walia was a final year student at Amity University in Manesar in Haryana. The accident occurred Thursday evening. He died while under treatment at a private hospital.

"Walia was on his way to the HUDA City Centre metro station with two classmates. The incident happened late Thursday," investigating officer Prem Chand told IANS, adding that a case of accidental death had been registered at the Sushant Lok police station.

The body was handed over to Walia's family Friday after post-mortem.

    It is very sad news for the whole family. May God, help them to recovery from the sad demise of their son. Authorities must take steps to control the increasing accidents in whole parts of India.
