Udupi, Mar 19: Young advocates from rural areas cheer up! The government has something good in store for you- a grand stipend!
This was disclosed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on his visit to Udupi on Saturday, March 18 to inaugurate the district court complex.
Advocates from rural areas will be given a grant stipend to help them in building a career for themselves.
The government is also planning to renovate all court complexes in all the taluks and judicial academy would also be strengthened. Justice, he added, should reach all and the government is committed to attain this goal.
Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph who was the chief guest on the occasion said that ratio between the number of judges and the pending cases in the courts was highly disproportional and this led to the delay in justice. However measures are been chalked out to increase the number of judges in courts, he informed.
High Court Judge Justice Ram Mohan Reddy and Justice R Gururajan, High Court Judge and Karnataka State Legal Services Authority executive chairman Justice P Vishwanath Shetty and district-in-charge minister V S Acharya were present during the programme.
