New Delhi, Oct 22 (IANS): Congress veteran Moti Lal Vora has been named Chhattisgarh campaign panel chief for the Nov 11 and 19 assembly polls, a party statement said Tuesday.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi approved the name of party treasurer Vora. She has also appointed senior leader Ajit Jogi as convenor of the panel which also has leaders like Mohsina Kidwai, state unit chief Charan Das Mahant and Ravindra Choubey.

The list of 72 candidates announced so far clearly bears the imprint of Ajit Jogi, a former chief minister of the tribal state, with wife Renu and son Amit getting tickets.
