CRPF seizes IEDs in Chhattisgarh


Sukma (Chhattisgarh), Oct 23 (IANS): The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has recovered multiple Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) stuffed with 20 kg of explosives in a joint operation with the state police, a CRPF official said Wednesday.

The CRPF troopers of 150 battalion recovered the IEDs from Chintagufa area in Sukma, a newly formed southernmost district in Chhattisgarh.

"The IEDs were buried in the road towards Chintalnar when they were detected on a tip-off. They were destroyed on the spot by our bomb disposal squad," said the official.
