Kundapur, Oct 24: “It is not fair to drag Dharmastala Kshetra and Dr D Veerendra Heggade in Sowjanya case.  There is a strong bond between Kharvi community and kshetra for a long time.  The community is hurt by the allegations that are meant to adversely affect the reputation of the Kshetra”, said Jayananda Kharvi, leader of Konkan Kharvy community.

He was speaking after presiding a meeting held by the community at Kundapur Mahakali temple premises.

He said “the community strongly condemns the allegations.  The government should legally get such talk stopped. Let them arrest the real culprits and punish them severely.  Let the investigating agencies do a sincere job into it”, he said.

Vice president Prakash Kharvy spoke and said “It is a black mail and an attempt to systematically malign the image of the kshetra.

They should not press Dharmastala instead of persuading government and the police for justice.  The community members in large numbers will be participating in the protest meeting that will be held on the 27th of this month in Gandhi maidan” he said.
