Water shortage may lead to famine in Pakistan: Minister


Islamabad, Oct 25 (IANS): Pakistan's Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif said Friday that the country is facing water shortage and it may lead to famine.

Asif said Pakistan may face a famine in the next 10-15 years if appropriate measures were not taken, Geo News quoted him as saying.

The government would ensure the implementation of the water accord between India and Pakistan, the minister added.
