Irked with Modi's jibes, Cong says address Rahul with respect

New Delhi, Oct 26 (PTI): Taking strong exception to Narendra Modi addressing Rahul Gandhi as "Shehzada", Congress today did some tough talking as it threatened that its workers were capable of stopping such "undignified" language but were restrained due to respect for laws and the Model Code.

The ruling party said its Vice President should be addressed in the same manner in which he addresses people with respect as use of words like "Shehzada" will not be tolerated.

Defending Rahul Gandhi's recent election speeches where he had invoked Muzaffarnagar riots, the Congress said the motive behind Gandhi's remarks should be understood as he said communalism in any form should be opposed and condemned.

"The way Rahul Gandhi is being addressed and criticised by the use of language - words like 'Shehzada' and alike, this conduct is not dignified in a democracy.

"Congress workers are not reacting out of respect for the Model Code of Conduct and laws of the country and are thus quiet. Otherwise, the use of such words can be stopped in two days. We don't want such a situation to arrive," Congress general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said, without naming Modi.

He said the way Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders address people with respect, it is expected that others also use similar words to address them.

The Congress leader was reacting to Narendra Modi's remarks made yesterday in Jhansi where he attacked Gandhi for saying that ISI was in touch with Muslim youth of Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar and dared him to reveal the identity of such persons or apologise publicly for levelling "serious allegations" and "defaming" the entire community.

Modi has also been using "Shehzada" to address Gandhi publicly in the recent past.

Dwivedi said fundamentalism of any form gives rise to communalism which is not good for the country and no one should rake up such issues irresponsibly in national interest.

"We have been seeing for a long time now that some people do politics even on very sensitive issues," Dwivedi stressed, adding that Gandhi had said communalism in any form should be opposed.

Attacking the BJP, the Congress general secretary said issues which do not have any meaning are being blown out of proportion in a bid to seek political mileage.

The BJP has petitioned the Election Commission for Rahul Gandhi's attack against it and for accusing the saffron party of spreading hatred in society by flaring up communalism.

"If a Hindu spreads communalism and hatred and suspects every Muslim, then he is supporting cross-border forces which are anti-India.

"Similarly, a Muslim fundamentalist is also strengthening the hands of those organisations which are spreading communalism and hatred in the country, though I do not wish to name them," Dwivedi said while seeking to explain the context of Gandhi's hatred remarks.

He said anyone who thinks in national interest and about the country, should not "irresponsibly" rake up such issues.

"Is there anyone, even those who instigated riots, having the moral courage to say that communalism is a good thing and claim that thay have indulged in riots," he said, questioning if there was anyone who was not ashamed of Muzaffarnagar riots or other similar incidents.

Accusing Rahul Gandhi of "inciting riotous behaviour" through his speeches at poll rallies, BJP has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission seeking action against him and Congress for "willful and blatant" violation of Model Code.

The EC is currently scanning Gandhi's speeches and have sought their copy alongwith a report from poll officials.

In a no-holds-barred attack on the BJP in rallies in Churu and Alwar in poll-bound Rajasthan, Rahul alleged its "politics of anger and hate" was fanning communal tensions and damaging the country's secular fabric.

The Congress Vice President also invoked the recent Muzaffarnagar riots in Uttar Pradesh in which 62 people were killed to target the saffron party, saying such communal violence causes terrorism.

Monarchy is not abolished in this world and still existing.
    See below:

    Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    Kingdom of Bahrain.
United Kingdom. (The Queen is the head of British throne).

A king is not a democratically/popularly elected leader.
A Self proclaimed leader is called a King.

We have the rulers they are not the kings.
The democratically elected rulers will be out at any time once they lose electorate.

FYI> The one who rules the country is referred as Ruler (a.k.a King/Queen etc). Now the Monarchy is abolished, the government does rules us. So Shehzada's father, grandmother, grandfather were head of the state. So what's wrong in calling a Dynastic prince a Shehzada?

Some of our commentators have semi intelligentsia.
    They say Shehzada means prince.

What is the wrong in saying prince.

Good Defense to protect Puppy Love Mr. Modi.

I am asking who is Prince???!!!
Do we have kingdom rule in India like U.K., and Saudi Arabia.

If The Tea-Boy says Shehzada to Prince William then that is correct.
WHEREAS THIS TEA SELLER IS TAUNTING AND TEASING RAHUL GANDHI.

Commentators will ask why congress says FEKU

    Reason:
    1) In developments Gujarat is No.1 Modi, his followers say. Is it so. NO. GUJARAT IS 12TH STATE IN INDIA IN DEVELOPMENTS.
    2) Modi asked what is the Medical bill expenses of Sonia Gandhi?! PMO’S office said Sonia Gandhi didn’t submit her bills yet.
    3) Pehele shouchaalai baadmeim deivaalai. When Jairam Ramesh said these people piss, spit and s**t in front of Jairam Ramesh residence.
There are many cases of fake factors pronounced by Modi.
Without which nobody tell him FEKU.

The following is copied from : Indiatvnews

Gujarat's debt was Rs 45,301 crores in 2001-02.
While Gujarat's actual debt was Rs 1,38,978 crores as on March 2012 and is projected to touch Rs 1.76 lakh crore in 2013-14. (the third highest followed by west Bengal and Utter Pradesh)

By 2015-16, Gujarat's debt may go up to Rs 2,07,695 crores, says the report.

    Concerning to MOUTH KA SAUDHAAGAR.
TRUTH IS BITTER FOR BJP’S AND ITS SUPPORTERS.
When Modi took over Gujarat first he undertook atrocities against Christians.
Secondly he gave all the constitutional laws into the hands of thugs, goondas, looters and killers.
That is called MOUTH KA SAUDHAAGAR.
Yet not satisfied he is still carrying out fake encounters.

TRUTH IS BITTER TO BJP FOR ITS ASSOCIATES AND ITS FOR SUPPORTERS.

What shehzada and who Shehzada...hasnt anyone seen Modi's poster splashed all over the country with the bridegroom's turban and head gear like a petty Raja..so tell me who is dressing like a shehzada and trying to be one. Why does Modi always always talk about the Gandhi's and Congress. Every speech he attacks Rahul. Every sentence is twisted and manipulated. He is a master at juggling stuff and spreading hate. Anything said in sincerity and in its true sense is taken negatively, twisted, concocted and made an issue . Indirectly he is the one causing trouble by taking things in the wrong sense. When will sense prevail!!!!! Grow Up!! You've reached that age. Dont be petty.

STAGNATION OF MIND WOULD ONLY BREED THE REPTILES OF MIND, WHICH WOULD TURN CATASTROPHIC FOR OUR EXISTENCE. Because of good performance of BJP ruled states, BJP has the best chance of forming next government next year.

Members of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) on Saturday staged a protest outside Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's residence here over his remarks that Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence contacted Muslim youths affected by the Muzaffarnagar communal violence.

SDPI members marched to Gandhi's Tughlaq Road residence and burnt his effigy. Seeking an apology, the members said such statements cast doubt on the integrity of Muslims. Gandhi made the remark at Thursday's Indore rally. The August-September riots in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district and adjoining areas claimed 62 lives and rendered 43,000 people homeless.

If we vouch the language and actions of some leaders, it looks like contesting elections will be matter of past!
Future elections will be fought like a battle!

    DALA'S are already there.
But whether SEVA DAL will take shape of Bajranga Dal?
    Time will reveal everything!
Old age saying is coming true. Those who live by the power of sword will also die by the power of sword!

It is very difficult to change the culture of people. Street language used by the Prime minister nominee is not surprising. He has come up in politics using such language. There is section of people who likes such speeches and they consider them as great speeches. This man stooped so low in making indecent comments about our Prime Minister Singh. Mr. Singh not even once used any language hurting anybody. That is statesmanship.

Rahul has to behave responsibly being with the family background which has given three successful prime ministers to our country. He does not have such luxury to use street language.

For Prime minister nominee there is nothing to loose. If he wins, all he said will be forgotten and if he fail people will forget him. But for Rahul it will not be same, in any eventuality his words will remain in the history and any misgivings will haunt the family.

People are watching. He thinks that he will win elections by making fun of his opponents. Advani did it in 2009, people rejected him and same will be the fate of this man.

So many comments on my one comment. Cool down friends. I do not support anybody using derogatory words. If some second rung leaders of both parties are using such words it is not that serious but it is serious when important leaders use such words.

Most of the comments to my one comment say that Prime minister nominee has not used derogatory words and he only told Rahul as Prince. If anybody has watched the TV, he was doing the mimcry with peculiar funny voice. Actually this is good for Congress as past elections have shown that such mocking comments help the other side.

In 2004 whole Sangh team was up in the arms against Sonia and her foreign origin. All indecent remarks were made including calling her bar girl. But the people taught the lesson by electing Sonia.

In 2009, Advani made so much fun on Manmohan Singh as weak and nikkamma. He called himself as Sardar. People showed in the election who is the real Sardar.

For the election in 2014, BJP is using the same old technic which failed in 2004 and 2009. Let us see how this helps them this time.

Somebody wants me to study English and Hindi as they feel that my language is poor. I don’t mind even though I have only few years left for retirement. Leaning is a continuous process.

Each person has inside a basic decency and goodness. If he listens to it and acts on it, he is giving a great deal of what it is the world needs most. It is not complicated but it takes courage. It takes courage for a person to listen to his own goodness and act on it.
Politics is not a dirty game for dirty people but a genuine way of being at the service of others for the integral development of the country. And this being the case, politics should not be left to degenerate and become the preserve of indisciplined cadres and those who profit from such conduct. Our politics need to be made attractive to as many of our people as possible.
Our politics must be conducted in a peaceful and honest way, devoid of any violence and slander of opponents. All those who participate in our politics, all our political cadres must be guided by the truth, integrity and justice which are anchored on God's commandments. It is necessary for all our political parties to educate their cadres, members and supporters about the purpose of politics and what their role in it should be. They need to be reminded that politics is for the good of the people and the country, and not for the political survival of any individual or political party. If the spirit of the primacy of the common good were to animate all our political cadres and their political parties, we would not witness the wrangling, bickering and power-struggling which leaves the public dismayed and disheartened. All leaders who are eying the chair of PM in Delhi should realize this truth.

It is Congress and its leaders particularly Digvijay Singh who first used FHEKU, a unparliamentary word for Modi. Why Congress did not instruct him to maintain decent language. Is is not General Secretary of Congress. In recent time Modi relly in Delhi posters were stick on roads of Delhi defaming Modi? What is this/ You did not follow rules and expect others to be decent. Moreover, what wrong Modi has said. We have seen during Lok pal Bill discussion Rahul Gandhi was given time and when he demanded Lokpal Chief be made Constitutional Post, all Congress started backing him whereas it is clear that Congress was never serious to pass the lokpal Bill. It had betrayed Nation and particularly ANNA HAZARE. Recently ordinance on convicted MP/MLA to revert the judgement of SC approved by Cabinet of Central Govt was sent to The President for approval. This Rahul Gandhi not only challenged the authority of Constitutional Cabinet but in press conference, he called it NONSENSE. Whole Congress men took u-turn and started supporting Rahul and it was when PM was on foreign tour. Govt had withdrawn this ordinance immediately.. What was his authority ? Can any Congress spoke person can explain? All this shows Rahul behave like Shaahzada and make mockery of legitimated elected Govt. of India. First see these hard fact and then tell Nation how Rahul Gandhi is behaving in Democracy. He wants to prove he is more powerful than elected Cabinet of Govt. Shame on Congress. Modi had started his election speeches on Development Agenda but it was Rahul Gandhi who had nothing to tell about achievements of 9 years rules of UPA-II and started taking nonsense.

This is something like they say in Hindi... Ulta Chor Kotwal Ko Daten? We would like to refresh the memory of Congress General Secretary, Janardan Dwevedi, where were you when, Modi was called Hitler, Fascist? Salman Khurshid called Mr modi... Bhasmasur? Someone from your party called Modi, Murderer, Killer,? Where where You Dwivedi? And you should not give lessons to Mr Modi on using decent language. Your Congress President called Mr Modi " Maut Ka Saudagar" if you remember it well ? Was that a right language used by your Congress President and some of your senior ministers? You all call him communal, fascist, divisive, forgetting he is a Head of one state and the electorate of Gujarat has voted him in power three times. Digvijay Singh uses any language whenever he targets Mr Modi? Congress has lost that right to lecture BJP or Narendra Modi on decencies in politics. YOU all have crossed your limits by calling Modi by all sort of names hitting below the belt. The rules of the game were set by you ? And Congress General Secretary should know, who is playing communal politics in this country. He need not give lessons at least on politics. By wrecking up the riot issues in the speeches, Rahul Gandhi has been playing communal politics and stoking religious sentiments among two communities. He had no business to talk on unfortunate riots in Muzaffarnager in his speeches and his mention about 2002 Gujarat riots was also deliberate to fan communal passion.. It is your Congress who is dividing this country on communal lines for vote bank politics. So, keep your advise to yourself. We people are not fools. We understand your brand of politics.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's remark that Pakistani agencies are reaching out to Muzaffarnagar riot victims has drawn sharp reactions from Muslim religious leaders, some of whom accused him of playing the "Hindu card". They said an "irresponsible" statement like this hardly befits a senior leader of the country's oldest political party.

"On one hand, the Home Minister writes to states to release innocent Muslims riot victims languishing in jails and take action against officers who arrested them and, on the other, the party's vice-president quotes an unnamed IB officer, raising suspicion about Muslims. Seems like he is playing the Hindu card. Now that the Congress is convinced that Muslims do not trust it any longer, especially in UP where they have an alternative, he seems to have set his eyes on Hindu votes," said Syed Ahmed Bukhari, the Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid.

Condemning Rahul's statement, Imam Umair Ilyasi, who heads the All-India Imam Organisation, said it is time politicians, especially young ones like the Gandhi scion, understood that the days of politics of religion are over. "It is very clear that he made the statement to attract Hindus towards the Congress party. Such politics of religion will not work anymore because people have become too wise to fall for it. Only politics of development will work. What he said and the way he said it is a matter of shame and pain not just for Muslims but for the entire country."

Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind general secretary Mahmood Madani was less harsh but no less critical. "This is a very irresponsible statement. Even if we assume for argument sake that it is true, the public articulation will cause fear in people. At this point of time when Muslims are already living in dread, a statement like this from such a senior leader will only make matters worse," he said.

Modi has a habit of belittling anybody opposed to him. Why is he called "mauth ka saudagar"? Because he had been insulting Sonia Gandhi by calling names in the past at every opportunity. Shehzada means "prince" as per google search. What is wrong with this word? (People who know hindi can confirm this. I am zero in hindi.)

I think more than this matter, congis are frustrated with the attitude of Rahul Gandhi who is doing more and more damage to the party day by day. Every speech of Rahul is turning out to be detrimental to congress. Instead of advising BJP, they should give proper basic education to Rahul Gandhi and teach him philosophy of politics. Don't blame others for your own made problems.
