Dubai, Mar 25: The office bearers of the association of Emirates Pangalites (Shankerpura/ Pangla parishioners) for the year 2006-07 were elected during the meeting held on Friday March 24 at Shezen Restaurant Karama ,Dubai.

Alphonse Mendonca  of Abudhabi, a senior member  and community leader, active member  of various Konkani activities is unanimously elected as the president of the association.While addressing the gathering he stressed  to strengthened  pangalities association in UAE and also continue on going charity programmes UAE  and hometown.
The following are the names of the office bearers of the association

President -  Alphonse Mendonca.
Vice-presidents: Dolphy D’mello & Merlin Castelino.
Secretary:  Jovin D’souza.
Joint Secretary:  Allan Rodrigues.
Tressurer:  Lenson D’mello.
Joint Tressurer:  Hilda Pinto.
Media & ‘Panglacho Prakas’ representative:  Melwin D’mello.
Cultural Secretary:  Joel Quadras &  Aswin D’souza.
Sports Secretary: Noel D’souza.
Dubai Representatives: Ignitius Alva & Herald Menezes.
Sharjah Representatives:  John Fernades.
Northern Emirates:  Vincent Barboza.
The following were elected as members of the committee: 
Committe members:  Alwin D’mello, Alwin D’sa, Collin Martis, Rodney Castelino, Naveen Prakash Nazreth.

Advisors: Micky Castelino, Herald Lobo, Alban Castelino and Clottilda Mathias
