TTFA makes donation to ailing footballer

Port of Spain, Nov 2 (IANS/CMC): The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) has donated approximately $11,262 to former national player Akeem Adams to aid his recovery from a massive heart attack.

The money was generated from t-shirt sales as well as ticket sales from the recent friendly international match between T&T and New Zealand at Hasely Crawford Stadium.

“We made a commitment to the cause and have been able to make a substantial contribution towards the fund from proceeds realised from the New Zealand match. It is our hope that young Akeem and his family will benefit in some way from this contribution and know that we will continue to do what we can to assist in his recovery," said TTFA president Raymond Tim Kee.

The 22-year-old Adams is hospitalised in Hungary where he is still recovering from a heart attack suffered several weeks ago.
