Won't allow Hindu version of Taliban to succeed: Digvijay

New Delhi, Nov 2 (PTI): Mounting fresh attack on Narendra Modi and BJP, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh today said he won't allow "Hindu version of Taliban" to succeed in India.

"I hate all those who advocate Ideology of Hate including Taliban and I won't allow the Hindu version of Taliban to succeed in India," Singh said on Twitter.

Taking a dig at Modi for attempting to "hijack" the legacy of Sardar Patel, the senior Congress leader said he was expecting that BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate will some day proclaim Chandrashekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh "as RSS Pracharaks".

Singh also wondered whether Modi was "ditching" RSS icons in the process of "hijacking" Patel's legacy.

Congress has accused Modi and BJP of trying to appropriate the legacy of Patel noting that any attempt to "communalise" Patel or make the freedom fighter the icon of "communal forces" will be denigarting him.

"Is Narendra Modi ditching RSS Icons Golwalkar , Dindayal Uppadhyay & Shyamaprasad Mukharji ? Now trying to hijack Patel's legacy ?," Singh commented on Twitter.

Singh, who had earlier ridiculed Modi over his knowledge of history over the BJP's leader's "gaffes" during a rally in Patna recently, also tweeted "Expecting Modi to claim Chandrashekhar Azad & Bhagat Singh were RSS Pracharaks and India got freedom because of RSS !

"Cant blame Modi. This is what RSS indoctrinates its Cadres ! History as RSS sees it !"

Singh, who is a known detractor of Modi, however, refrained from making any comment on iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar praising Modi in Pune yesterday.

"Lata Mangeshkar is our Indian Icon and she is entitled to her Political Views. We all love her songs," Singh said in his tweet.

Bongis (i.e. BJPians) are suffering from an acute attack of 'Diggeria'. This can be seen from their nervous comments whenever Digvijaya Singh makes an explosive comment against Modi/BJP. Though he is not even a cabinet minister (he was CM of Madhya Pradesh) there are already 94 comments so far.
I believe Diggy is a strong contender from the UPA to be the next PM (besides Nitish Kumar, assuming he joins the UPA). Diggy alone seems to have the ba!!$ and the brains to take on Modi and the BJP. He makes intelligent, sharp and hard hitting comments which is what makes BJP supporters nervous which is why they are in a hurry to dismiss his comments as rubbish. In fact Diggy's popularity is growing positively with Modi's growing negative popularity. I will not be surprised if the Congress leadership including MMS, Sonia, Rahul etc make way for him to lead. He makes the BJP very nervous. He also shows respect for the enemy whether it is Ossama-ji or Modi-ji.

It is not surprising to hear Diggi is giving this statement on three grounds firstly, he is frustrated to see his home ground is tumbling in Madhya Pradesh as well as in Rajasthan swept away by BJP in poll prediction on coming election, secondly, person who still refuse to see or accept IM and SIMI as terrorist Organization in India, thirdly, person who still can’t believe Batla incident was genuine terrorist encounter whereas whole including our Supreme Court confirmed that it was not a fake. The NATIONAL DONGI ALLIANCE by default was ruling for five years. The educated as well as un-educated voted to them. They verily and hardly struggled to rule for 5 years even after India Shining Campaigns. NDA’s education programmers didn’t educate citizens of the country. The educated as well as uneducated thrown out NDA from power.

Only they did was media campaign for the party and portraying poetry icon AB Vajpayee as idol, the NDA failed miserably.
Now this BJP is fielding a murderer, corrupt and an encounters chaaiwala candidate for prime Minister. This is a great moment and great advantage to congress. I thank them for helping congress coming to power for the III time.

Congress handed over the legacy of Sardar Patel to BJP by refusing to attend the Bhoomi Puja of his tallest statue in the world. Having realized the mistake they are now crying over it. Modi agreed with PM that Sardar was a secular leader. When Modi said sardar was the first leader to rebuild som nath mandir Congress called modi a communal person thereby calling Sardar too communal. Why is congress talking about Sardar Patel now when they never touched upon his name all the past 60 years. By the way raj guru, Bhagat singh are also icons of Indian history. Do not denounce them please. As regards Taliban you better not create a communal tension between the communities. In any case please survive to get minority votes as your statements show that you are not a Hindu by all means as you call them Taliban.

Josephji, Don't consider INC ruled for 60 years because of good work and good ruling. The people were uneducated and not knowing the misdeeds of INC almost till 1975. The awareness started all around and that's how INC started ruling its bastions one state by one state and not they don't have any strong bastion where they continuously won for decades. Delhi will be lost INC in another month and INC might keep little hold in Assam due to some other know reason. Don't consider INC RULE AS A ACHIVEMENT.

Dear DVS,
First of all be assured Hinduism and Talabanism cannot co-exist. Look back at the pages of history. Even though this great country and culture was plundered umpteen number of times by foreigners and faith and belief was vandalized, Talibanism didn't take its birth on this great soil.
Having said that, yes agree there are a fraction of fanatics, that exist in like in any other society. But this fraction never succeeds.
Divide and rule is easy and is practiced by all political parties. Unite and Progress is the need of the hour and is a big task. The choice is yours.

Digvijay Singh's assessment is absolutely correct. As Talibans want whole Muslim nations to adhere to Salafist ideals, RSS and affiliates want Indians to adopt Manuvadi lifestyle. In their version, Islam and Christianity are alien at best they should live in India as second class citizens ( read about Golwalkar) or they be banished from the country for ever! though this idea has been there for long, it has not been able to take wings.
