Mumbai, Nov 4 (IANS): A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 42.55 points or 0.20 percent up in the pre-noon trade Monday.
Good buying was seen in healthcare and auto sectors, while selling pressure was observed in banking index (bankex) sector.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 21,278.08 points, was trading at 21,239.36 points in the pre-noon session, up 42.55 points or 0.20 percent from last Friday's close at 21,196.81 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 21,321.53 points and a low of 21,212.31 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE helathcare index gained 74.31 points and auto index inched up by 91.90 points. However, bankex went down by 16.19 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading flat at 10.15 points or 0.16 percent up at 6,317.35 points.
