Kolkata, Nov 6 (IANS): West Indies were 107 for two in the first innings against India on the first day of the first cricket Test at the Eden Gardens here Wednesday.
Marlon Samuels was batting on 45 and Darren Bravo on 16. Pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shami Ahmed picked up the openers Chris Gayle (18) and Kieran Powell (28) in the first session.
The match is Sachin Tendulkar's 199th and penultimate game. Batsman Rohit Sharma and medium pacer Ahmed are making their Test debut.
