Nov 6: Samsung on Wednesday night in Seoul, Korea announced at an analysts meet, their goals of bringing to the market phones and other devices with foldable displays in the near future. They begin their innings with GALAXY ROUND - a curved display phone.

When they talk of flexible phones they do not mean that a phone can be folded like a piece of paper or a handkerchief, instead they are referring to the organic light-emitting diode located beneath the cover glass. What it does mean though is that the display screen itself will bend itself around the edges of a device  - allowing a user to, for example, read more of a message rather than having it get cut off at the side of the display as in our present phones. Even Icons will not be broken and will show their continuation even when placed at the edge of the screen because the display itself bends along the device to incorporate it.

Therefore flexible here does not mean the phone is bendable and Galaxy Round cannot be folded. the display screen however might be worth looking out for.
