Sartaj Aziz arrives, to meet Kashmiri separatists


New Delhi, Nov 10 (IANS): Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's foreign affairs adviser Sartaj Aziz arrived in New Delhi Sunday to attend the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), and also tgo hold bilateral talks with External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid.

Aziz is to meet some Kashmir separatist leaders, including Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Muhammad Yasin Malik, hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani, and moderate Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

The three have received an invitation from Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Mansoor Ahmad Khan to meet Aziz in New Delhi.

Aziz will also hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, according to Pakistan official sources.

During talks between Aziz and Khurshid, India is to take up the issue of frequent ceasefire violations and increase in infiltration attempts across the border in Jammu and Kashmir.
