Mangalore, Apr 3: The Kudroli slaughter house issue has taken a new twist with the Mangalore City Corporation asking the slaughterers to stop cattle slaughter till Wednesday April 5.

The decision has been taken owing to the ill health of MCC appointed veterinary doctor Ashok.

The decision was taken after Bajrang Dal leaders had appealed to the Bunder police to stop cattle slaughter in the absence of Dr Ashok.  The Bajrang Dal and Gosamrakshana Samiti (Cattle Protection Committee) leaders had complained through contractor Rajesh Shetty that bullocks were slaughtered on Sunday and Monday in the absence of the veterinary doctor.

Taking this into consideration, the MCC meeting presided over by assistant commissioner on Monday April 3 evening asked the slaughterers to stop slaughtering upto April 5.
