Bhatkal, Apr 3: After almost a week of turmoil and riots, Bhatkal is gradually limping back to normalcy.  No incidents of violence have been reported in the last two days.  Despite administration vacating Section 144 during the day time on Tuesday, the situation was under control.

However, the police and additional forces continue their duties as a precautionary measure.  On Tuesday morning, people were found on the streets just like any other day.  It was after almost a week that the streets in Bhatkal were found so busy.

Even people from the rural areas are coming to the city for their work.  Schools and colleges too are back to their usual curriculum too.  The PUC students too attended the public exams on Tuesday

However, DR and KSRP battalions continue to patrol the city.  The leaders of both the communities are taking rounds of the city together to establish peace and harmony among the public.  This has created positive vibes among the public and people are gradually trying to overcome the nightmarish experiences of the last week.
