Brazil beat US at FIVB Women's World Champions Cup


Tokyo, Nov 12 (IANS): Olympic champions Brazil Tuesday beat the United States 3-0 (26-24, 26-24, 25-20) in a volleyball match at the FIVB Women's World Champions Cup held in Japan's Nagoya city.

The Brazilians were led by Pereira Natalia and Rodrigues Fernanda, both scoring 13 points, while the best scorer for the Americans was Murphy Kelly who scored a match-high 14 points, reports Xinhua.

It was the third victory of the year for the Brazilians in head-to-head matches with the US.
