Mangalore, Apr 5: Finally the verdict is out in the city about the use of opaque tinted window glasses and glasses with sun control films.  The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has issued a notice warning the vehicle-owners against the use of such tinted glasses on their cars and other vehicles.

The notice has stated that the vehicle-owners are not supposed use opaque tinted glass or sun control films on either the wind screens or window glasses.

As per the Central Motor Vehicle rules, the side screens of the vehicle should be 50% transparent whereas the wind screen and the glass at the back of the vehicle should have 70% transparency.

The vehicle owners are requested to follow the given guidelines in this regard.  However, those who fail in this will be penalized, said the RTO officials.
