Tea seller cannot become PM, SP leader's dig at Modi

Hardoi(UP), Nov 14 (PTI): In an apparent dig at BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal today said that a person who used to sell tea cannot have a national perspective.

"Narendra Modi wants to become a PM. Someone rising from a tea shop can never have a national perspective. Like, if you make a 'sipahi' (constable) as 'kaptan' (Superintendent of Police) he can never have SP's approach but will have that of a constable," Agarwal said in comments that could stoke a controversy.

Addressing a gathering here, Agarwal also said the prime minister of a country has to be an able person of national stature.

"As far as crowd is concerned, a 'madari' (street performer) also gathers it," he said taking a swipe at BJP.

Agarwal, who launched a scathing attack on Modi, has also previously targeted the BJP leader with some controversial comments.

At his rallies, Modi often refers to his own socio-economic background and humble origins while targeting the Gandhi-Nehru family, saying people who are ruling at the Centre "don't know what poverty is all about, but I know it."

"I was born in a poor family, and have seen and lived in poverty.

"I have sold tea at the railway station and in running trains... those selling tea in trains know more about railways than the minister," the Gujarat Chief Minister said at a recent rally in Patna.

When he was six years old, Modi helped his father sell tea to passengers whenever an odd train came into the small Vadnagar station in Gujarat, according to a  book titled "The anatomy of Narendra Modi--the man and his politics" authored by Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay.

Agarwal last month also courted controversy after he compared BJP to a 'widow' and had said that Modi's thoughts were like a CM and not a PM.

"There is a saying in my village that if you ask a widow's blessings, she will ask you to become like her. The BJP too is asking everyone to become like them. Modi's thoughts are limited as he is a CM of small state," Agarwal had said. The BJP had slammed Agarwal for these comments calling it highly derogatory.

No One can predict anyone's fate. Best example is Modi where he was a poor boy, became a CM of Gujarat for 3 times. What more he needs to prove to become PM? Do he need to change his surname as Gandhi / Nehru to become PM? Does he need certificate from SP or Congress or JD(U) or other fake Secular parties or the Media to become PM? People of this Country is with him now since he proved that he is a good Administrator. If Modi becomes PM, there is a hope of better India or else think..... Think about you if you are younger, think about your children if you have family & children & please do vote for BJP in the coming election. Long live Modi, GOD BLESS YOU.

We should never underestimate anyone's capabilities based on his/her academic, financial or professional status. Anybody, who has AIM or SKILL, can become a leader (including PM).
BUT, FEKU has been chosen for PM post with some hidden agenda, drafted by RSS. FEKU's major specialty (qualification) is spreading hatred among citizens & misguiding innocent youths(mainly illiterate or less educated), in the name of Religion & Culture.

We knew Churchill as the one who hated Gandhi and India. But his words, while speaking against freedom for india are so prophetic. But if you take the speech as a whole, most of Churchill’s observations were spot-on and are relevant even today, 66 years after independence!.
Quote- "Power will go to the hands of rascals, rogues, freebooters all Indian leaders will be of low caliber and men of straw. They will have sweet tongues and silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power and India will be lost in political squabbles. A day would come when even air and water would be taxed in India".
The circumstances we see India in today, this prophecy seemed only too to come true. a speech that Churchill made in the British Parliament House of Commons on March 6, 1947, as part of a discussion the topic of Indian independence. The entire discussion is available in the Archives of the British Parliament. It is quite voluminous and runs into about 100 pages or so.

Then they went on to become own hoteliers and Karod-Patis. Some of them even became Ministers in Maharashtra govt. Insulting Modi as Tea Boy and telling that he is not fit for PM post , is just like insulting all the Mangaloreans who started life as Teaboys and then became successful in life. One Shetty Teaboy became Chairman of United Bank of India. Another Shetty who was teaboy in RK Studio of Raj Kapur, is now a film producer as well as owning biggest Colour processing Lab of India and also a Director of Reliance Media of Ambani group.

Study the childhood of all American Presidents right from George Washington to Obama. The majority of them including Obama, had a very humble background. Many started early life as Paper vendor, or doing household work or as Gardner. Americans respect all sorts of jobs which are done honestly be it tea boy or sweeper. But Indians still have the olden feudal mentality. They think only those people who are born with golden or silver spoon in the mouth are eligible to be PM.
Who was Deve Gowda in childhood ? He was working in the farm of someone else in childhood, and then started a career as a small labor contractor at the village Panchayat level and rose to become PM.

IN MY OPINION TEA-BOY HAVING GOOD EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ALRIGHT. BUT THE BEHAVIOR OF HIM SHOULD NOT BE LIKE A STREET BOY.

Kerala’s Achutha Menon is uneducated but he became Chief Minister. He is very fluent in Malayalam like Modi in Gujarati. Modi’s English is GU-JUNGLISH. Achutha Menon doesn’t know to speak English. He may be speaking a little bit like MALE-NGLISH. Achuta Menon is also acting like a street boy.

Since India is a multilingual society a prime minister candidate should know fluent in Hindi and English, Plus should be well aware of the History of India and the world.

Modi lacks History, awkward speeches, big mouth, language trouble and blah, blah, blah…..
For BJP’s do or Die. So far the big mouths have countered from congress only. Now when the kichidi parties counter bjp and Modi thab aayegaa mazaaaaaaaa.

Is there a single seat for BJP in Kerala.
Is there a single seat for BJP in Tripura.
Is there a single seat for BJP in Manipur.
Is there a single seat for BJP in Tamil Nadu.
In the present assembly there is not a single seat for BJP in West Bengal.
The bjp is entirely eliminated from all the above states in the Assembly elections.

Naresh Agarwal does not say that tea selling is a bad profession. Yes people selling tea in railway stations lead a respectable life. But the question is whether a mentality of a tea seller can lead a nation? If Modi wants to become PM he should know how to give respect to others and earn respect for himself. He should know how to take all people along with him. Well educated people are respected because they have vast knowledge. What is Modi's qualification?

Naresh Agraval's assertions are just like the saying 'ulta chor kothval ko daante'
His own party has highest %age of goondas, rowdies, murderers, rapists etc.,as MP/MLA amongst MLAs,MPs.Azam Khan of his party known criminal.SP rule has highest record of communal disturbances/rapes/murders in the state.Latest communal riot engineered by his party in Muzafernagar is well known.
Now the leaders of such bad recorded party SP are given a certificate on Modi as tea seller is ridiculous.Tea selling is not an offense instead every true nationalist appreciates Modi for attaining this position and nominated for the highest post of future PM of the country.
In our country a paper seller has become MLA,Medical representative has become 4 times, bus conductor has become MLA/Minister in state, ordinary civil contractor/under graduate has become MP,tea suppliers in Janatha bazar has become minister,so many MPs,MLAs are also criminals with charges of rape/murder and sitting in VS/LS but Naresh Agraval has problem with a tea seller becoming PM of the country.A rapist can become nominee for PMs post, past bar waitress can head a political party and how come Agraval against a tea boy.Tea selling is a respectable job compared what is mentioned above criminal acts.Let him go to Kerala railway stations and see for himself how many tea sellers in the train/station are selling tea are leading a respectable life.In my opinion they are much more respectable than Naresh Agraval of SP.
I am very proud of a tea boy nominated for future PM of this great nation.
    Jai Hind.....

No problem if one was a tea seller but there is a huge problem if that tea seller has become a communal fascist butcher dividing this country on religious lines !

At first, I read it "BANDAR", later realized Bhandaar !!!

I guess, your Gyan Bhandaar is too poor, that's why you like FEKU's speeches. FEKU has exposed his knowledge about Indian History & culture in his recent rallies. His Gyaan Bhandaar is Khatarnaak!

Selling tea is better than selling country.........

The same tea seller is Gujarat's CM for three consecutive terms, you couldn't stop him there & I think it will be difficult for you to stop him for the PM's position as well in 2014. Another request lets respect all the jobs which people of this country do, there is no small & big job. Citizens of this country work to fill the stomach of self & their family members!!!

One should not insult someone on the basis of his past livelihood... Tea seller or bonda seller, nothing to do with the present situation.

Its really a cheap comment from the Congress leader on - - - -

Sir, I am always trying to be straight forward in talks & action. This person who is nominated as PM candidate will be hated by me forever until unless he accepts his grave sin towards humanity & he beg the pardon from the whole country, especially from those who lost their dear&near ones & provide them the best possible compensation be it in any proper means.

I hate him, but I don't want to insult him or anyone else. Thank you.

Not only has he to beg pardon but more importantly he will have to be punished to the full extent of the law for his crimes of commission and/or omission. People in India are punished even for very petty offenses so why let a butcher free for very grave crimes.

You should also demand the same from Congress Party/Leaders for killing so many innocent Sikhs in 1984. If we go by our profession then we mangaloreans can not become the politician or PM of this country, because all of us are known by our "KULA KASUBU".

BJP hypocrites criticize dynasty politics of the Congress but shamelessly ally with dynastic parties like the Shiv Sena and Akali Dal. Whats more is that they are their only allies left. BJP finally had to depend on dynastic parties for allies.
