Kashmir legislator's guard opens fire at civilians, arrested


Srinagar, Nov 14 (IANS): An opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legislator's security guard was arrested Thursday for opening fire at civilians in north Kashmir's Bandipora district, an officer said.

"Altaf Baba, PSO (personal security officer) of Bandipora MLA Nizamuddin Bhat, was arrested today (Thursday) for firing at and injuring two people in Bandipora," the officer added.

The victims, identified as Abdul Majid Khan and Mudasir Ahmad, were admitted to a hospital after the incident.
