Exclusive pics by Dayanand Kukkaje

April 7, 2006

This is the age of plastic and synthetics. Right from the high-profile plastic money like the credit and debit cards down to poor man's polyethylene carry-all shopping bags, it's all plastic, the whole plastic and nothing but plastic.

Can the day-to-day lifestyle remain unaffected by the synthetic revolution? Don't we often feel having have to come across plastic faces, synthetic smiles and cosmetic attitudes?

Well, coming back to the original plastic, while having a mere look around, one is led into firmly believing that this is a world of make-believe. Otherwise, how can it be explained that most of the time natural things look artificial and those artificial look most natural?

Our photographer Daya discovered this as he walked into 'Hanging Gardens' on Market Road in the city and thought of sharing the experience with our readers by clicking some very natural-looking artificial flowers and wall-hangings.

The artificiality apart, you'd enjoy going through them, naturally!
