Kochi, Apr 7: Regarded as chokers till not very long ago, India on Thursday created a new world record by registering their 15th win on the trot while successfully chasing in the fourth ODI against England here.

India surpassed the West Indies' 21-year-old record of 14 consecutive victories when chasing a target.

West Indies had set the record between 1984-85 and 1986-87.

The last time India had lost a match while chasing was against New Zealand at Bulawayo in August last year.

The new record speaks volumes about the growing resilience of the Indian team under a new team management led by skipper Rahul Dravid and coach Greg Chappell.
