NBA: LA Clippers' Barnes sorry for his conduct

Washington, Nov 15 (IANS): Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes apologized for being ejected in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Clippers scorer Blake Griffin and Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka got tangled up in the second quarter, which resulted in a conflict between the two teams. Barnes and Ibaka were ejected afterwards, and Griffin was given a technical foul Thursday.

"Not only on the court, but off ... I was completely wrong for pushing Ibaka & then for what I tweeted following the altercation," tweeted Barnes.

"I've been doing this for too long to let my emotions get the best of me ... My poor choice of words & timing do not reflect who or what I am about ... It was very selfish on my part to make this situation about me instead of my teammates that fought their hearts out & earned a big win against a tough okc team."

The Clippers beat the Thunder 111-103 in that game
