GoAir plane with Gen VK Singh on board in emergency landing at IGI


New Delhi, Nov 16 (PTI): A Mumbai-bound GoAir flight with about 100 passengers, including former Army Chief General VK Singh, on board was forced to return to the airport here following a fire alarm today.

The Airbus A-320 returned under emergency conditions to IGI airport here after it had been airborne for about 40 minutes.

Upon landing back at the airport, the passengers were shifted to another aircraft which flew them to Mumbai.

The former Army chief was on his way to the Maharashtra state capital to launch his book at the ongoing Mumbai Literary Festival.

    Gen Singh took decisive steps towards "decolonizing" the Army and transforming it into a modern fighting force and has been a whistleblower against corrupt practices including Italian involvement. Some foul play cant be overruled !!
