One killed in Afghanistan suicide bombing


Kabul, Nov 17 (IANS): At least one person was killed and two others injured in a suicide bomb attack Sunday morning in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of the northern Afghan province of Balkh.

"A suicide bombing targeted the motorcade of deputy provincial governor Mohammad Tahir Wahdat at around 11.15 a.m. At least one person was killed and two others were injured," Xinhua reported citing Tolo News.

The identity of the casualties remained unknown in the blast which occurred at Aryana square of the city.

At least six people were killed Saturday and more than 20 injured in a suicide car bombing in the Afghanistan's capital Kabul.
