Mangalore, Apr 9: ‘Light of the World,’ an painting exhibition of paintings of Lord Jesus Christ by Artist K Ganesh Shenoy will be held at Milagres parish hall on April 12. The exhibition which is being organised by Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education in association with Milagres church will display the as many as 53 paintings from Jesus Christ’s humble birth to his resurrection.

Shenoy is the son of eminent artist couple of Kerala, K Pundalik Shenoy and Padmini Shenoy, who were associated with Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy.  His first solo painting exhibition was in Trivandrum last year. He is presently working as an H R manager in Strides Research and Specialty Chemicals ltd.

Briefing the press on the event, Fr Denis D’Sa, Director of Sandesha Foundation said that the artist’s motive is to bring religious harmony, amity and peace in the society through the exhibition.

The paintings will be inaugurated by Mangalore Bishop Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza. Kanchan Ganga Kala Gram, Kasargod director P S Puchithaya and Milagres church parish priest Fr Walter D’Mello will be present on the occasion.

“Being a theologian, it was his duty to encourage the understanding of all religions, said Shenoy. Through my paintings I try to reveal to the hearts of humankind, the sacrifice that this great Avatar (Lord Jesus Christ) has given to the world, he added.
