Karkala: Son assaults mother with stick

Karkal, Nov 19: A son is accused of assaulting his mother with a stick in Erlappadi Jarkala near Bailur on Sunday November 17.

The mother Dulekha (45) is injured and has been admitted at Taluk government hospital for treatment.  Son Mustafa and Rehmat alias Puttu, the mother of his wife are the accused.

Rehmat had married a neighbour  Rehmat’s daughter against the wishes of his house people.  The tension between the mother and son is said to have continued after the marriage.  Mustafa and Rehmat who came home on Sunday have needlessly fought with Dulekha and assaulted her.
 
A police case is registered at the town police station.
