Mangalore, Apr 9: Damodar Shriyan, customs superintendent of the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), passed away in a private hospital here on Saturday following illness.

He was the past president of Tannirbavi Mogaveer Mahasabha and an office-bearer of Yuvak Mandal, Tannirbavi and Balanjaneya Vyayamashala.

He is survived by wife, two sons and daughters.
