Mangalore, Apr 11: In another ghastly accident on National Highway 17 at Tokkottu, 18 people were injured when a private bus coming from Kerala collided with a lorry in the wee hours of Tuesday April 11.

The accident is said to have occurred around 4.30 am when the onion laden lorry going to Kerala collided with private bus at Tokkottu.  Out of the injured, one Krishna is said to have sustained serious injuries. 

The injured have been identified as Krishna, Siddique, Surendra, Abdul Rehman, Kallamohan, Muralidhar, Shrija, Mustafa, Denis, Sayyad Jameer, Manikantha and Jagannath.

The injured have been admitted to Father Muller Hospital, Sahara Hospital and Netaji Hospital at Tokkottu.  More details are yet awaited.

The Ullal police who soon arrived on the spot separated the collided vehicles with the help of a crane.

The Ullal police have registered a case in this regard.
