by reciprocal arrangement with Star of Mysore

Mysore, Apr 11: Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt has donated Rs 15 lac towards the cost of houses for tsunami victims in the second stage of Mysore Colony being taken up at Mudaliarkuppam, Tamil Nadu, by Mysore Citizens Forum (MCF).

The cheque for the amount was presented by Pejawar Swamiji on April 4, as part of his 75th birthday to Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji of Suttur Mutt in Bangalore.

Rotary Club of Moolki also donated Rs 3 lac on the same day.

Mahajana Education Society President R Vasudeva Murthy presented a cheque for one lakh rupees on Monday April 10,  to Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji as additional contribution from the Society to MCF. The Society has so far contributed more than Rs 5 lac to the fund.

It may be recalled that already 92 houses have been constructed in Mysore Colony in Mudaliarkuppam by MCF, which has planned to construct 150 more houses.

The Forum has made a plea to the chief minister H D Kumaraswamy to help in its project and he has assured help.
