AAP's face has changed: Dikshit

New Delhi, Nov 22 (IANS): Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday said the face of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which once reflected the sentiments of the people, has changed.

The Delhi chief minister was referring to allegations that video footage showed an AAP member accepting donations without verifying the source.

"When the Aam Aadmi Party was created, it touched upon the feelings and emotions of people. As it appears now, it is really a self-certification of themselves. It's face has changed now," Dikshit said during an interaction with journalists.

The three-time chief minister flatly denied that the AAP had the potential to dent the Congress in the Dec 4 assembly polls, saying "the lesser you talk about it, the better".

She said that Congress' main contender would be the BJP, an "established party".

She also said there was no question of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi dimming the prospects of the Congress, and said her party would strive to form the government for the fourth time in Delhi.

"The people of Delhi know very well that their vote for this election is for forming the local government," she said.
