New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS): The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) Monday approved a proposal of the ministries of commerce and industry for continuing the Agriculture Export Promotion Plan scheme in the 12th Plan period (2012-17).
The main objective of the scheme is to enhance the capability of the Indian exporters of agro products and support them in realizing their export potential.
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) scheme has four components -- infrastructure development, transport assistance, market development and quality development.
The outlay of the scheme will be Rs.1,100 crore during the 12th Plan period, said an official release.
