Kundapur, Apr 13: In another incident of drowning, an eleven-year-old boy died at Kharvikeri near here on Wednesday April 12 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Kartik Kharvi (11), a resident of Kharvikeri. On Wednesday evening he had gone fishing on a small ferry boat along with his father Ganapati to the nearby river.
However, while fishing he slipped and fell into the deep river. Though his father tried to rescue him, he could not. Before others could come to his rescue, Kartik had already drowned.
He was later fished out of the river. The Kundapur police have registered a case in this regard.
