London, Nov 27 (IANS): Arsenal's Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner apologised for damaging his apartment door and causing inconvenience to his neighbours.
The 25-year-old player was arrested Monday in Hertfordshire, north-west of London, for damaging his apartment block, reports Xinhua.
Bendtner said on his Instagram account Tuesday that he tried to force the door open while it was stuck, and caused some damage.
"I apologise for any inconvenience for my neighbours and I have paid in full."
Police said Bendtner was no longer in custody and would not be required to go to court.
An Arsenal spokesman said Tuesday, the club would not comment on players' private matters.
"But we do expect the highest standards to be maintained on and off the pitch and will be reminding Nicklas of this."
