M’lore: Laxmi Memorial College holds 'Aquatic Therapy' workshop

Mangalore, Nov 27: Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy  organized a workshop on aquatic therapy on November 27 at Hotel Moti Mahal.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr Abhilash P V, senate member, Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Dr Harish S Krishna- HOD –department of physiotherapy and Dr C G  Prashanth - resource person.

Aquatic Therapy is a kind of treatment for patients with exercise in water. There were 150 participants for the workshop which consists of under graduates , post gradutes, staffs and practicing physiotherapist from Mangalore, Kerala, And Tamil Nadu.

This workshop is the first one of its kind to be conducted in Mangalore.

Aquatic Therapy is a new form of physiotherapy which has evolved in western countries.
