Exit Gutthi, enter Dulari on Kapil's comedy show

Mumbai, Nov 28 (IANS): Sunil 'Gutthi' Grover's controversial exit from Colors' "Comedy Nights With Kapil" has reached a flashpoint - the channel has decided to replace Sunil Grover with another comic actor Gaurav Gera.

Gaurav's drag act starts this Sunday when Saif Ali Khan appears on the popular show, but he won't play Gutthi. He will play another female character named Dulari.

Apparently, Sunil was planning a comedy show with Gaurav.

A bit of a stab-in-the-back situation, no?

Sunil disagrees. "If it wasn's Gaurav it would've been someone else. The show had to go on. And I'm glad a friend is doing it. I'm looking forward to seeing what Gaurav does," he said.

Gaurav had played a woman on another show "Mrs Pammi Pyarelal" on the channel but the act bombed.

    It was Kapils Decision not to raise the pay package to the Guthi. Yes, Guthi was the main attractive character after Kapil and Kapil should have been little flexible and should have been fulfill his demands. Kapil will realise it soon when the TRP start loosing without guthi.
    Then the Guest will ask one question to Kapil... Kapil Ji.. Comedy circus mein Guthi ke bina aap kaisa mehsoos kar rahe ho???

    We want Guthi back. Without Guthi, comedy will not be the same. I watch comedy nights with Kapil mainly for Kapil and Guthi

    I have stopped watching the show CNWK after the exit of Gutthi a void difficult to fill. Sunil (Gutthi) we want you back.
