Singapore Airlines appoints new India general manager


New Delhi, Nov 27 (IANS): Singapore Airlines Wednesday appointed David Lau as its general manager for India operations at the time when the passenger carrier is tying up with Tata Sons to start an airline here.

David, who will take over from G.M. Toh from Dec 1, will manage the India operations of both - Singapore Airlines and its full-service regional carrier SilkAir.

David has served at the company's Australia, US, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand operations.
