Mangalore, Apr 16: The victims of the hit-and-run case in which two motorbike-riders were knocked down to death on Hassan bypass road in the neighbouring district have now been identified.
Yesterday, the first was one already identified as Shivaprasad Shetty (Read daijiworld news dated 15, April 2006) , son of a former bank manager and resident of Kadri Towers in Kadri.
Deepak Menezes
The second has been identified as Deepak Menezes (23), son of Lenny and the late Jossie Menezes of Kadri-Kaibattal. Close sources said they had originally planned to go to Madikeri but had diverted to Shiradi ghat towards Bangalore via Hassan.
Deepak is survived by his mother and two younger siblings, a brother and a sister, both studying. His father had passed away a few years ago.
