Greater Noida, Nov 28 (IANS): The finale of the 16th JK Tyre Racing Championship will be held at the Buddh International Circuit here Nov 30-Dec 1.
The main events will also be supported by the ‘Ultima Queens Cup', a women's racing event. The race will see drivers from Scandinavia, Puerto Rico, Hungary and the Netherlands participating.
“We have always supported women race drivers and have been associated with the Duchess Car Rally for Women in Chennai, Trichy, Patna to name a few. By inviting the Ultima Race Queens to race in India, we want to encourage more and more women to take up motorsport which is otherwise considered a male-dominated sport,” said JK Tyre & Industries Limited Head-Motorsport Sanjay Sharma.
Besides the Ultima Queens Cup, the competition has heated up across the three race categories: the JK Racing India Series, the VW Polo R Cup and the LGB Formula 4. Only a few points separate the top three in all categories.
The qualifying and few races across each category will be held Nov 30 and the balance set of races Dec 1.
