New Delhi, Nov 29 (IANS): Three persons, members of an international drug syndicate, were arrested with 6 kg heroin valued at Rs.25 crore in the international market, police said Friday.
Vinod Kumar, 37, working as a carrier for the drug syndicate, was arrested Nov 18 with 5 kg heroin near the Rao Tula Ram flyover in south Delhi.
"On Kumar's information, other gang members of the syndicate - Moosa Koya, 28, and Ummar Farook Badaje, 22, - were arrested Nov 19 from a hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan with one kg heroin," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Yadav.
"Since Nov 19, our team has been raiding several places in Jammu from where Kumar received the consignment. Further investigation into the case is on to nab other members of the syndicate," said Yadav.
Kumar revealed he was working for Sabir, the gang kingpin.
Sabir, from Kerala, is currently residing in Kuwait.
