Voter turnout will be higher: Delhi poll chief


New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS): This time the "voter turnout will be higher", Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Dev hoped Wednesday.

"I expect that this time the voter turnout will be higher. I especially request the young voter to exercise their right to vote and show the same enthusiasm they had shown before elections," Vijay Dev told reporters after casting his vote in New Delhi assembly constituency.

Delhi recorded a voter turnout of 57.58 percent in the 2008 assembly election.
