BJP to win MP, Rajasthan; hung assemblies in Delhi, Mizoram: Exit poll

New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS): The BJP is expected to retain Madhya Pradesh with a massive mandate and wrest Rajasthan from the Congress, while falling short of a majority in Chhattisgarh. Delhi and Mizoram would see hung assemblies, according to exit poll projections of the assembly polls in the five states by India TV-CVoter.

According to the India TV-CVoter exit polls, in Chhattisgarh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may be two seats short of a simple majority in the 90-member assembly.

In Rajasthan, the BJP is projected to win 130 seats of the total 199, while the ruling Congress would manage just 48 seats, it has projected. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) would win four seats, and the other parties 17 seats.

In 2008, the Congress had won 95 seats, the BJP 78, BSP six and others 20 seats.

In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP is projected to retain power with 128 of the total 230 seats. The Congress could win 92 seats, the BSP six seats and the others four seats.

In 2008, the BJP had won 143 seats, Congress 71, BSP seven and the other parties together nine seats.

In Chhattisgarh, the ruling BJP is likely to be short of simple majority. The BJP is projected to win 44 of the total 90 seats. The Congress is likely to win 41 seats, the BSP two seats and others three seats. In 2008, the BJP had won 50 seats, the Congress 38 seats, and others two seats.

In Delhi, the ruling Congress would be in for a rude shock.

According to India TV-CVoter exit polls (till 1 p.m.), the BJP is projected to win 29 of the 70 seats, the Congress 21, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) 16 seats, the BSP two seats, and others two seats.

In 2008, the Congress had won 43, the BJP 23 seats, the BSP had won two, and others had won two seats.

In Congress-ruled Mizoram, the ruling party is projected to win 19 seats of the total 40 seats. The Mizo National Front (MNF) plus Mizo People's Conference (MPC) is likely to win 14 seats, the Zoram Nationalist Party (ZNP) five seats, and others two seats.

In 2008, the Congress had won 32 seats, MNF plus MPC had won six, and ZNP had won two seats.

Counting of votes will take place Dec 8.

I'm not happy becuase BJP is winning, but Congress is loosing. If congress rules the country for another term, there would not be job in this country, there would not be any food. Economy will collapse and again we may need to mortgage our gold in someother country to manage the Current Account Defficit. Only we can see the vote back politics. I think its power of NOTA button. Once more and more people get education and know what political parties ar doing..then only country will proseper. Today the Economy is so bad that no MNC's want to land in our country.

It does not matter at all.
In any contest one party has to win and the other has to lose.
If no outright result - coalition - if that is not possible - President rule.
If won squarely and fairly I too praise anyone's win - otherwise it is not a win at all - It will be by hook or crook situation...which is RSS\BJPs ways.
Then we have to see how the situation stands when the winning party takes over. Will it be for a short period "GRAB AND VAMOOSE" situation like Karnataka or good governance for a long time reign. If the latter - good for every one. If the first choice if is every ones's bad luck.
Still there are some months to go for that kind of situation.
I will wait and see till then.
So wishing you all the best in your aspirations.

No Syed Kazi, unfortunately for you and your like minded people, nothing of the sort is going to happen.. What definitely is on the cards is that BJP will make a clean sweep catapulting Modiji to the top! At the same time, teaching much needed lessons to those politicians who really deserve them! :)

Mr. Kazi, If you are done with your fantasy imagination, please come back to the real world. Hung assembly means either re-election or horse-trading. Both are against the interest of the general public and our sinking economy. The outcome of every election should be a decisive mandate to a party or a coalition. At least as sensible citizens we should hope for that not any anarchic views like you have.

Hung Assembly will create more corruption due to Horse-Trading.
(I want to change the word Horse-trading as Donkey-trading, because those who support another party for money are nothing but shameless Donkeys)

    Pray, Lotus bloom in Chattisgarh.

exactly, a year ago Lotus bloomed in Gujarat.

and now in Rajasthan and MP, high chance in Chattisgarh and leading in Delhi indicates the possibility of NDA return to power in 2014.

    Hi Dineshji,

either they will blame on 'NRI Gujjus' or refer 'Cobrapost' sting.

last year Chidambaram said Congress has won in Gujarat even after results were out! lol

Narendrabhai gave a befitting reply in his victory speech when he said 'if you total Congress's Gujarat and HP numbers, still no match to BJP's number'!
